My Word Is My Weapon
$10.00
Innovative and inspirational, Reyes has been performing nationally and internationally for more then 12 years. Fresh off his first international project with Spanish rapper No Global, he prepares for the release of his latest mixtape titled My Word Is My Weapon. The mixtape is a fusion of inspirational soul, raw lyrical hip-hop, fresh beats and poetic style. Reyes flips commercial and underground beats and adds his own unique style and radical message.
Know nationally as a poet, My Word Is My Weapon is a chance for this Chicago lyricist to flex his skill as a emcee. No guest appearances or collaborations, just his soul on the beat and blood on the page.
My Word Is My Weapon explores freedom, justice and equality in an unconventional way. As a creator of “conscious” or “radical” art, Reyes attempts to present political struggle with fun and entertaining songs. He avoids what he calls “pamphlet hip-hop.” He hopes the project is a weapon against oppression while giving people something fun to listen to.
“We are multi dimensional people and our struggles have multi dimensions. I hope my words convey a message of hope, possibilities and inspiration.”

Blood Dries Black
$7.00
A poem about the life and death of Filiberto Ojeda Rios
by Reyes
production by Grim Lok
in collaboration with National Boricua Human Rights Network
Filiberto Ojeda Rios was known as the Commandante of El Ejercito Popular Boricua - Los Macheteros. He spent much of his political life living clandestinely struggling for the independence of Puerto Rico. On September 23, 2005, Ojeda Rios was surrounded at his home in the outskirts of the town of Hormigueros, Puerto Rico, by members of the FBI's San Juan field office and assassinated. A coroner's autopsy later concluded that Ojeda bled to death over the course of several hours. To date, no one has been indicted or prosecuted for his murder. He remains a symbol of Puerto Rican resistance.

Would One Bullet
$7.00
Would One Bullet End Hundreds of
Years of White Supremacy
The Documented Assassination of
President George W. Bush
This poem was in response to a series of phone calls I received from the secret service for a painting/collage I did last year. The collage was title “Would One Bullet End Hundreds Of Years Of White Supremacy” and had an image of George W. Bush with a target around his face. After my lawyer spoke to the secret service agent and they stopped harassing me for an interview, I sat down to create a poem I thought would push my skills further than I had explored before.
I released this poetry single in Washington D.C. It took me a lot to write and it was only when I felt uncomfortable about writing it that I actually put it on paper. When you write something like this and are apart of a community organization you have to be responsible for what you put out, but I thought it was important to fill this void so I created it. Hope you enjoy and keep an ear out for the remix with the one the only D.J Ozone.

My Voice
$13.00
It was through life experience that my first full-length poetry album, “My Voice” was created. It was inspired by the many voices that make us who we are, the same voices that give us hope through trying times, the ones that spoke to our souls, the voices that cannot be silenced even after death. It was also inspired by the young brothers and sisters on Division Street in Humboldt Park, along 18th Street in Pilsen and 26th in Little Village, in all of Chicago, and the voices through out the world that are oppressed by colonialism, white supremacy, neoliberalism and globalization. From Saginaw MI to Paseo Boricua.

Rebirth
$7.00
Rebirth: Murals Etched in Poetry is a collection of some of Reyes most amazing work. Much of the poetry deals with present day Mexico and his rebirth while visiting Mexico for the first time at 25 years old. The poetry offers a different style mixing myth, historical fact, science and mystic wisdom to create murals of poetry.
